We will be making the Snowfling Mitts by Tanis Lavallee. This pattern can be
purchased through Ravelry or ask at the desk and we can help you.
This is a warm pair of wooly, hand knit mitts. A lining has been added to make
this pair of mittens a luxurious treat!
Sample was made using:
1 sk of Plymouth Superwash DK in navy
1 sk of Plymouth Superwash DK in cream
1 sk Malabrigo Mora (pure mulberry silk) in Sunset (fingering weight)
Must know how to knit in the round, use double pointed needles, or magic loop.
We will be doing colorwork and learning how to do the thumb gusset and
keeping the colorwork on track. After the mitten is made, we will be adding the
lining of the mitten. The lining is made with fingering weight yarn. You will learn
to measure the areas required and make the lining fit.
2 contrasting skeins of DK weight yarn.
1 sk of fingering weight yarn for the lining
Size 3 dpns
Tapestry needle, stitch markers, waste yarn
