Boundary Bay Class with Ruth Boelkins
Country Needleworks

This all new original
Spout design is a luxurious big rectangle that can be styled many ways.
Wear it as a large lightweight scarf or shoulder wrap. It’s got stretch, texture, geometric stitch
motifs, blocks of color and a big wavy edge.

Shop for fingering weight wools in 3 colors, and add some texture and warmth with a laceweight
silk/wool blend. Portions of the wrap are knit with either one weight of yarn or both held together.
(Of course, if you prefer to omit the mohair, Ruth can easily advise you on how to make the wrap
without it).

Receive specific instruction from the designer herself, for each step of the pattern.
Get expert advice on selecting your colors and yarns, and enjoy the class community while you
work at your own pace - we always have loads of fun!  There are several class sessions and
several months for knitting (October through January). And when you’re all finished,
Ruth will also help with blocking your piece.

What’s in the
Boundary Bay wrap? Lots of garter stitch, a big cable twist, picking up stitches,
knitting panels in different directions, and a variety of stitch motifs that are both written and
charted, and use only the knit and purl stitch. This project is suitable for anyone very comfortable
with knit and purl stitches - all other techniques will be taught, and Ruth has lots of helpful tips for
you too!
