Colorwork Yoke Pullover Sweater Class
                              Taught by Ruth Boelkins,

Here’s a sweater with simple styling and just right details that make it a pullover you will
love to wear!  Even better: you can customize the length and fit to make it your perfect
sweater. We will discuss the options in class, so you don’t need to have it all figured
out before hand.  Ruth will help you measure, choose your size and get started on
your project during the first class meeting.  If you’re comfortable selecting your options
ahead of time, there’s lots of information on the pattern that will help you purchase
correct yardage.  And Ruth is available for consultation beforehand as well - just send
her an email!

What’s involved?  This is a dk weight top-down sweater with a stranded (fair isle)
colorwork yoke. It would be good to have some basic experience with this technique,
but you can be totally new to sweater making! In addition, we will cover general good
sweater making techniques (like getting gauge to start & finishing it all up nicely), and I
give many tips and answer all sorts of questions about sweater knitting.

Sound like fun? It is! Ruth will be your guide in making this pullover step by step.
Classes are a great way to get all the help you need, enjoy meeting others, and have
a plan for completing your project.  Also, Ruth is “on call” for you during the entire

Wool and wool blends are great.  Here are some suggestions:
100% superwash wools: Neighborhood Fiber Studio DK,  Dragonfly Fibers Traveller or
Damsel, Wonderland Sport, Malabrigo Arroyo
Wool/acrylic blend: Berroco Vintage DK

Needles:  It is not necessary to purchase needles before class.  Please bring
any size 5 or 6 needles you have to class, and we will begin by swatching for
