|New "Echo" Cowl Class
This is a 2 session class, and here’s what you will learn: how to begin a project on circular
needles, knit in the round, do basic knit & purl rounds, follow a pattern, do basic short rows,
make an eyelet pattern with increase & decrease stitches, finish, and block your project.
You may select your yarn during the first class session, getting help from Ruth and checking out
the finished “Echo” cowls she will bring to class. There are different size options for this project,
and there are also ways to customize it to the size you would like. Ruth will help you determine
the best yarns to use, depending on your fiber, cost & size preferences.
You will be able to purchase all supplies with 10% discount .

prior to class, if you need suggestions; or you may wait and get help during the first class
session. There is no need to select yarn prior to class!
Needles: Most knitters will need a 24” circular needle in size 9. If you are a tight knitter, please
consider using a size 10. The gauge is 15 stitches per 4”, so it is meant to be a bit loose and
