Skills Needed: Knit and Purl, Longtail Cast on - Bind off
What you will make: Log Cabin Square, Mitered Center,
3-needle bind-off, weaving tails. This is a lightweight poncho
with a nautical motif using "Crazy" with a more solid color
fingering weight yarn.
This is a good project to allow you to explore a few
interesting knitting techniques as well as a different
approach towards reading a pattern.
Materials to bring to class: #6 - 24" and 32" circular
needles, 2-3 skeins Crazy, Approx. 600-800 yards fingering
wt. for main color. (I used NFC "Rustic Fingering" Druid Hill.
